Track 'N' Trail ATV was founded in August of 2003.

Our principal owner/operator, Jim Sharanowski, was born and raised in the Nanaimo/Ladysmith area of Vancouver Island, British Columbia, where we are located. He is an avid sight seer and has spent a lot of time hunting and fishing all over the back country. He was a Boilermaker in trade for over 30 years. Since retired he was looking for something to keep him busy doing what he loves. He is an excellent tour guide and knows something of the history of the area.

Karen Sharanowski, Jim's wife, takes care of the office and quality control. She was born and raised in the Southern Alberta area. She also grew up with a sense for the outdoors with activities such as camping, fishing, hiking, skidoo and horseback riding. Her dad introduced them to the ATV world while on a camping trip in Alberta. They have been hooked ever since.

Dear Friends,

As you can see we enjoy the outdoors, but we also enjoy seeing the faces of our new operators during and just after finishing a trip. There is so much excitement. They are surprised to find out how easy it is to ride the machines and how much territory they can cover in a very short amount of time.

We enjoy rediscovering the area anew from an ATV perspective. As a member of the British Columbia All-Terrain Vehicle Association (BCATV), we are constantly building new roads as well as maintaining old ones for ATV use. We use a Global Satellite Positioning (GPS) system with our tours so finding new roads and paths has never been so easy and re-finding them is just as easy. It is impossible to get lost no matter how hard we try.

Come with us and enjoy what nature has to share. From our family to yours, welcome to the outdoors!

Jim and Karen Sharanowski.
